Our Commitment

Over the last several years, we’ve made a lot of progress – progress that continues to make us a better company and a better corporate citizen. We have grown our business and operational footprint and have strengthened our commitment to improve our environmental, safety and health (ESH) performance.

As our business grows, we realize the increased importance of keeping our ONEOK values intact and our focus in the right place – on our stakeholders and our mission to operate responsibly.

This corporate responsibility report outlines many of the steps we’re taking to develop a best-in-class environmental, safety and health program that continues to benefit all of our stakeholders – employees, customers, investors and communities.

We have developed a three-year vision that outlines our ESH goals – a vision that will continue to drive our progress in ESH performance.

Our employees, with support from business segment leaders and senior management, work each day to execute this vision.

The theme of this year’s report is “Vision Driving Progress,” which recognizes that our continued progress in improving our environment, safety and health performance is the result of the goals we have set and the commitment of our entire ONEOK team. From our boards of directors to executive management to the employees who operate our assets on a daily basis, we are focused on the same goal – to operate in a safe, reliable and environmentally responsible manner – for the benefit of all our stakeholders.

Our increased emphasis on employee safety is beginning to pay off. In 2010, we decreased our Total Recordable Incident and Preventable Vehicle Incident Rates; were recognized by the American Gas Association for employee safety efforts in our ONEOK Partners business segment; and a number of our company facilities reached significant employee-safety milestones.

We also continue to look for ways to reduce our environmental impact by conserving resources and finding more efficient technologies. Our ONEOK Partners and natural gas distribution business segments actively participate in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Natural Gas STAR Program to reduce methane emissions, and in 2010 we were named the program’s natural gas gathering and processing partner of the year.

Our employees are as dedicated to their communities as they are to their jobs. Whether through charitable contributions or volunteering their free time, our employees make a positive impact in the communities where they live and work. They drive our ESH performance improvements and work hard to create a culture where we can share best practices.

While we are pleased with our progress and our performance so far, we are not satisfied. We can always do more. Throughout this report, we’ll discuss our progress and our plans to do just that – to do more.

As we’ve stated before, a vibrant and effective ESH program is key to our long-term success and the fulfillment of our vision as a premier energy company. We will continue to let that vision drive our progress.

We welcome your feedback on our efforts and on this report.

Thank you for your interest in ONEOK.
