Transportation
Commercial or industrial customers who require large volumes of natural gas may qualify for transportation tariffs. These customers purchase natural gas from gas marketers and pay Kansas Gas Service to deliver the gas.
General Transportation Service (GTk and GTt) - These tariffs are available to small commercial and industrial customers who use more than 3,000 Mcf annually. There are separate rate schedules for the 'k' system and the 't' system. See the Electronic Flow Measurement Rider (EFMR) and Section 10 and Section 11 of the General Terms and Conditions for additional conditions for transportation service.
Large Volume Transportation Service (LVTk and LVTt) - These tariffs are available to large commercial and industrial customers who used more than 1,500 Mcf in any of the last 12 months. There are separate rate schedules for customers on the 'k' and 't' systems. See the Electronic Flow Measurement Rider (EFMR) and Section 10 and Section 11 of the General Terms and Conditions for additional conditions for transportation service.
Wholesale Transportation Service (WTk and WTt) - These tariffs apply to utilities and municipal gas systems that use the Kansas Gas Service transmission system to transport natural gas for resale outside our service area. To qualify for the WTk or WTt tariff, a customer must have taken delivery of at least 3,000 Mcf during the last 12 billing periods.
Irrigation Transportation Service (GITS) - This tariff applies to sales to commercial and industrial customers who use gas for the purpose of crop irrigation. The total gas bill consists of a fixed Service Charge, a usage-related Delivery Charge, applicable taxes and other charges the customer might incur.
Compressed Natural Gas General Transportation Service (CNGk) - This tariff applies to compressed natural gas sold to operators and retail distributors of compressed natural gas used as a vehicle fuel.
