Overland Pass Pipeline Company LLC
On May 3, 2006, ONEOK Partners, L.P. entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of Williams (NYSE: WMB) to form a joint venture called Overland Pass Pipeline Company, L.L.C. The Overland Pass Pipeline project has received approvals from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), enabling construction of the project to begin. The $535 million, 760-mile natural gas liquids project will originate in Opal, Wyo., and terminate near Conway, Kan., at one of the nation’s primary natural gas liquids supply and storage hubs. The natural gas liquids pipeline will travel through 23 counties in three states: five in Wyoming, six in Colorado and 12 in Kansas. The pipeline will transport approximately 110,000 barrels per day with the ability to expand capacity to 150,000 barrels per day with additional pump facilities. The project team worked closely with the BLM, other regulatory agencies, state governments and landowners to obtain feedback and the proper permits for the project. The Notice to Proceed for the project was granted in early October and construction has begun. The pipeline is expected to begin operation in the third quarter 2008. View ONEOK Partners news release.
