ONEOK Foundation
Established in 1997, the Foundation enables ONEOK to maintain a consistent level of contributions year to year regardless of earnings, as well as providing important tax advantages.
The Foundation also plays a significant role in advancing corporate goals for increasing name recognition and reputation enhancement for ONEOK and its divisions and subsidiaries. Through the work of the Foundation there are many opportunities for ONEOK employees to actively participate with corporate and civic leaders in the discussion and resolution of important local, state, and regional issues.
Key information about the ONEOK Foundation:
- The Foundation is subject to Internal Revenue Service rules and regulations governing private and charitable foundations
- Foundation grants may be awarded only to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
- Goods or services may not be received for foundation grants, i.e. participation in golf tournaments, reservations at fundraising dinners, or tickets to special events
- Publicity and recognition may be accepted for Foundation grants
- United Way matching grants and the Employee Matching Grants Program are administered through the ONEOK Foundation
- Grant requests of $5,000 or less may be submitted at any time during the year to the ONEOK Foundation Executive Director
Qualifying grant requests over $5,000 are considered by the ONEOK Foundation Board of Directors at quarterly Foundation meetings, which are scheduled in February, May, August, and November.
