Financial Incentives

Numerous state and local incentives are available in Oklahoma that can be very attractive to businesses considering expanding or locating operations here. The Oklahoma Natural Gas' economic development team is thoroughly familiar with these incentives and has the contacts to gain consideration of your specific needs. Five of Oklahoma's top incentives are:

  • The Quality Jobs Program. Oklahoma's premier incentive program, Quality Jobs provides quarterly cash payments to qualifying manufacturing and service companies who have a new payroll investment of $2.5 million or more. Payments are made directly to the company for up to 10 years.
  • Investment/Jobs Income Tax Credit. Targeted primarily to manufacturing, the income tax incentive allows a five-year tax credit on the greater of (1%) per year of investment in qualified new depreciable property or a credit of $500 per year per qualified new job.
  • Ad Valorem Tax Exemption. Oklahoma offers a five-year ad valorem (property) tax exemption for manufacturing, research and development, certain computer/data services, and certain distribution services.
  • Sales Tax Exemption. Key sales tax exemptions include: processing machinery & equipment for manufacturers and certain computer-related services; electricity, fuel, and other tangible property used in manufacturing; 1-800 or 1-900 lines for interstate and calls for sales.
  • Free Worker Training. Customized employee training is available at no cost to new employers through the Oklahoma Department of Vocational-Technical Education.
