How to Read and Report Your Reading Each Month
Some Oklahoma Natural Gas customers prefer to read their own gas meters. Reading your meter each month and filing the reading with ONG is really quite simple.

How to Read Your Gas Meter
Three simple steps are involved in reading your gas meter. Please refer to the example meter faces we've provided below when reviewing each of the three steps:

1. Read each dial in the direction of the arrow, starting with the dial on the left.
2. Notice the numbers are in a clockwise position on some dials, and a counterclockwise position on others.
3. Record the last number the needle has passed, even if the needle has almost reached the next higher number.

How to Record the Reading on Your Meter
Oklahoma Natural Gas supplies meter reading cards to all customers who choose to read their own meter each month. Use the card to record the numbers shown on the dials on your meter.

How to Report Your Meter Reading
From the Oklahoma Natural Gas Web site:

• Log into View Your Account.
• Click on Enter Meter Reading.
• Enter your current reading.
• Click on Submit.

From any touch-tone phone:

• Dial 1-800-219-1378.
• Follow the prompts to enter a meter reading.

How to Order Additional Meter Reading Cards
From any touch-tone phone:

• Dial 1-800-664-5463.
• Enter your 18-digit ONG account number.
• Press "2" for "Meter Reading and Consumption Information."
• Press "2#" to order additional meter reading cards.
• Order the cards.

How to Begin Reading Your Own Meter
If you are interested in assuming the responsibility for reading your own meter and filing the reading each month, make this call from any touch-tone phone:

• Dial 1-800-664-5463.
• Enter your 18-digit ONG account number.
• Press "0" for a customer service representative who will get you enrolled.
