Elk Creek Pipeline construction

Elk Creek Pipeline

The Elk Creek Pipeline is being constructed to transport unfractionated natural gas liquids (NGLs) from near ONEOK’s Riverview terminal in eastern Montana to its existing Mid-Continent NGL facilities in Bushton, Kansas.

The approximately 900-mile, 20-inch diameter pipeline will complement the company’s existing Bakken NGL Pipeline and Overland Pass Pipeline, of which ONEOK owns 50 percent. Pipeline construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

Demicks Lake I and II Natural Gas Processing Facilities

The Demicks Lake I, a new 200-million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) natural gas processing facility in the Williston Basin, and related infrastructure, are expected to cost a total of approximately $400 million and be completed during the fourth quarter 2019. The plant will be built in McKenzie County, North Dakota, which is in the core area of the Williston Basin and is supported by acreage dedications with primarily fee-based contracts.

Read the news release announcing the Demicks Lake I project.

The Demicks Lake II, a new 200 MMcf/d natural gas processing facility in the Williston Basin, and related infrastructure in McKenzie County, North Dakota, are expected to cost a total of approximately $410 million and be completed in the first quarter of 2020. The 200-MMcf/d plant is supported by acreage dedications with primarily fee-based contracts.

Following these project's completion, ONEOK's Williston Basin natural gas processing capacity will increase to more than 1.4 billion cubic feet per day.

Bear Creek

The Bear Creek natural gas processing facility expansion and related infrastructure in Dunn County, North Dakota, are expected to cost a total of approximately $405 million and be completed in the first quarter 2021. The expansion is supported by acreage dedications with primarily fee-based contracts.

ONEOK's Williston Basin natural gas processing capacity will increase to more than 1.6 billion cubic feet per day following the completion of the Bear Creek expansion. The expansion is expected to produce approximately 25,000 bpd of NGLs in ethane rejection, resulting in 225,000 bpd of raw feed contracted since the announcement of the Elk Creek Pipeline.
